“As a child around the age of five,
I realized that I had a gift for drawing, along with other types of artwork. It
was something that I just did for fun and a past time, as I got older I would
try to outdo myself with the next drawing, until it came to the point I knew I
wanted to pursue art as a major, and that is exactly what I did. So in my early
twenties, I discovered writing kids stories out of a compete eureka moment, by
telling a story with my illustrations. I have to say I have come a long way in
my writing, artwork, and growth as a person, as you’ll will all see in the near
future, with my novels.”

Endorsement: for Neveah
I have just read the above rough
draft and would like to recommend it for endorsement. My name is Paul E. Walker
and am a retired music educator who taught Marcel as a private student. I have
reviewed some pages in the manuscript, and I can’t believe how I got drawn
into this story. I see much of what he has personally experienced going into this work. I'm looking forward to the print book. I would say those mature teens would love reading this story. Bullying it’s something I see as a
teacher, more now than in the past. Kids can’t get away from it even now when
they go home it follows them online, just like in this story. This book may
help those that are bullied cope, and think before they act. The book is very
readable and neat. I most have book set, for young and teens.
You are surely talented, and gifted
in so many remarkable ways Mr. Duriez. My daughters 5 and 7 both enjoyed Sammie
and Ellie so much. You would not believe, how they got into this story, I read
it to them every night for a week or more, at bedtime. They just loved your
little dog in Ellie. Both books are really cute! Oh, we just cheeked them both
out using the Cambria county library system. We even extended our time so the
girl could have the books longer. I want to say that I have gotten to see some
of this man's talents in writing like the Nevaeh manuscript, and would love to
see more, I would like to see this be published work and also a movie. Bravo!
Mr. Duriez”
Sammie and Ellie- This is a very good book
for kids. Like I said with the other book, I have been a teacher for years, and
I read this one to the class also, this is good for teaching kids responsibility,
sharing, and sociality. The story is not bad at all, somewhat chatty for real
young kids but good overall. I would recommend it to everyone. I would say the teacher would love this, the artwork help makes the book, fun and enjoyable for the reader and child. We have read this book to my classes in school I have been a
teacher for many years, the kids loved it and the drawings too. I would say
that the book is nicely written, no big glitches in the text or pictures. Overall it’s a fun cute book for the younger kids. -Indiana free library
The parents and children teen would
all love this books. We as a group here are beholding the onward reassess to
his new book coming out for teens and kids, (Nevaeh and more.) We have read
over some chapters in the document and we all transfixed. Our hope is that
it will be in print very soon. He is an industrious young man, and I wish him
much success. I just want to endorse Marcel for his new book, I am very much so
looking forward to it coming out. I'll be happy when I can get a copy for
myself.

Your comments-
- I loved your books! The artwork was breathtaking! Can wait to read your new book!
- Hello, I read and enjoyed your book, the many adventures of Cuddles; Tobey, Pandora, and Cuddles. I greatly enjoyed reading your book. I think it will make children read better and want to read better.
- I loved your books! The artwork was breathtaking! Can wait to read your new book!
- Sammie and Ellie rated it 4 of 5 stars Goodreads
- I read this today. The story is well thought out. I enjoyed the point of view of the dog. Most of the children's stories are from the kid’s vantage point. Nice to see a change of pace. Love the illustrations. The story was awesome.
- YOU Have what it takes to be something great. Read a lot. Read broadly... Tell stories to your friends, and pay attention when they get bored... Write a lot.
- A lovely book for anyone wanting a vampire love story! Kissed by Death, I really enjoyed reading this book! I liked the kids’ books too. I am so what to read your novel. I enjoyed the way this is written; the description is great. I think I'd definitely reread this story sometime in the future! I could not put this book down!! I wasn't sure I would like this story but was surprised. Easy to get into the minds of the characters. Very entertaining!! What a great romance!! The narrator is Duriez is fantastic! The details mind blowing!! Breathtaking Interesting story. The story is good and keeps you interested, Amber Fire killed it though, in the end, the ending is too fast. Great conflict with a love story. Awesome read!!!
- I find this book as good as twilight ha. I love how dark it can be with a clever and humorous yet sometimes sexual why. The characters are very much alive and have a lot to say. The book has a life lesson in it that real love never walks away, even after all hope is gone and you’ll go at any length to keep that love alive. Awesome book. My complaints: The story ends too fast. The editing was okay. I certainly loved Duriez’s parts the most. I would LOVE to read more books by this person. You both are very talented, but that writing by Duriez was brilliant. Those parts kept the story moving in a touching mysterious suspenseful way.
- I can’t wait to read your new novel, Marcel! Hope to read it soon! Love’n it!!
Reviewer: Beth Bender: Cuddles//
this is one of my all-time favorite children's books said, my grand-baby girl.
The book itself is cute and perfect to read for babies' and toddlers' fundamental
skills. Loved the artwork captivating and cute, this book is so cute. Perfect
size for a little kid! Super love the illustrations! love the story, the
colors, and the book itself, I read some comments that it was a small book, my
granddaughter of 2 years at the time, I felt was the perfect size for a child
her age, this is the book she always grabs first I want the green book she
said. It really gets her attention, and well she has plenty of other books but
this one it’s always her first option, it’s definitely our new favorite book!
Can't go wrong with this Author. A classic! I sure at some point- I have the cover
book- 25 is not high for a book like this… its a hardcover and has a lot to give
to a reader- the e-book was 3 yet she said I want it.
Reviewer: Beth Bender: Sammie and
Ellie// absolutely loved this book. They liked the idea of going book inspired a
lot of play in our house. The book nicely balances the child's need for
imaginative thinking with a sense of limits, and the pleasures of home. The
illustrations clearly make this book great, because they provide a launchpad
for this imaginary place. This is one of a handful of books that will bond you
with your child for the rest of your life. Don't miss that opportunity! Unlike
some children's books which are a little boring for the adults to read after
the 300th time, I always enjoyed this one because I could see and get new
thoughts each time I read it. I think this is one of the best books for
children I have for my grandbaby. Children who experience these strong//
notwithstanding brief// emotions often have difficulty understanding them at
first and learn to conquer them to "re-enter" the adult world where
they must behave. If you have a child like this, you'll appreciate Duriez’s
ability to illustrate the imagination and feelings of a child who does not/ yet
have the maturity to express emotions verbally.
Reviewer: Beth Bender: Mandy Bear//
wonderfully presented story for children. The tale focuses on an apparent
youth// the incorporation of some values into a beautifully illustrated
adventure is sure to entertain any small child while still effectively
presenting a subtle message. Thus, a child is not confused, nor presented with
a meaningless tale. Smaller yet adorable, only in e-book- that was the issue
with this one.
Reviewer: Beth Bender: The last
Kiss// aka Kissed by Death// this one was a read for me- I was okay with it
going for the kid to wow- yet I get it. It was a new path for this writer, a story
that was shared. And written fast// however I feel that it was good- not the
best work I have seen yet not horrible, I loved a vampire falling in love with
a witch net I said, a lot of gore though// spicy at times and racy, for my liking
yet a teen would get it more. It has a part where the teen has lust with the older man,
yet that is not unlike Twilight, where Bella falls for a boy that is over 100
and she is a teen, I don’t get why some on co-write had this over 18- yes wording
is strong yet that was the point in this one to see what was good or bad to do,
testing the waters. I would say sure try it you may like it… it is a love-hate
thing with me. I did not like the first ending love the new one!
Reviewer: Beth Bender: That’s a
Life// Zoey// Love that this is a true story- worm to me// I like where it went
had a notebook feel when reading the pages. Romantic I would say on this one,
good work// ah teen lust and love, cute, older man want what he had in the
past, finds in a young hart, nice, I feet the first time it ending to fast.
But it was just a short story at the time// so in the extended cut, Duriez adds
more to this cute story. I feel the adding in of the ladies here was whoa. Yet
something I get to same ideas of finding love to cope with loss. Local
writer- Jared Smorto- book looked over by Marcel Duriez was draft- (“Zoey”) -
or “That’s a Life”- “I'm going to be honest, I liked it, I really did. I know
by the date this was a fast story, because to me it looks like a first draft,
although that is totally okay- because some writers- say you're not supposed to
make revisions in the working process… but that is something I fail at doing
also- because- I'm trying to make every page, every line perfect, as I know you
do also… It's a cool story, jam-packed with really good matters in the story,
and that's all that I can say, it was a good. Happy writing…”
